For the PP asking if it’s official yes, as another PP alluded their kids team moved to NCSL. BRYC has at least a dozen ODSL teams that will be moved to NCSL for spring. I’m sure other leagues same deal is taking place.

So will we see more inclusion of the BRYC former ODSL teams with the Elite Academy teams? Same league , some in higher divisions, some higher ranked state and nationally than Elite Academy. Or will they again be treated like the red headed step children?

Exactly how should a C or D team expect to be treated?

OMG!!!! The same as Teams A and B !!!!!!! We are all supposed to be the same club. Sorry us lesser families are bringing down the level of the elite!! Only a few years ago you "elite" teams were called blue or white and treated worse off then the elite. You would think you would have a little more compassion for those "below" you now!!!

did you pay your fair share?

Some of them already play in NCSL and are ranked higher than the A / B teams so maybe there should be some respect for the C and D teams that choose not to be part of the academy for various reasons. I agree with PP - the field space allocation needs addressed.

If your kid has a good coach and is having fun, why does it matter?

Field space. practice time, and the stuck up attitude shown by the Elite team toward the travel teams that played in ODSL. I guess they feel its ok to treat us like that since the ECNL teams probably talk down to them about how bad they are.

I get the field space and practice times but it’s reasonable that the club prioritizes the academy teams. As for the stuck up attitude, that seems more like an insecurity on your side. Be assured that No one is spending time thinking about the bridge teams or caring for that matter. Hopefully the higher rankings noted makes you feel better about your situation.

If you want to see what talking down is, go read the ECNL vs GA thread. Pure comedy. You should go post how you think your ODSL team is better than ECNL teams and see what kind of response you will get.

I wouldn't care if another club is talking down to me .However to see the disfunction and division in our own club you would think it was a caste system running the club.

Whomever is whining about practice times believe it or not your kids coach has a lot to do with your practice times. It might be at the less desirable field location but there are trade offs.

Its not a trade off when the academy teams get both choice fields and times. cmon be fair.

ECNL is expensive, but if you convince enough kids to play with parent coached teams, then they all do their part to defray costs from the kids the club cares about

BRYC administrator - “we need to plan practices for 100 girls over 5 age groups.”

Crazy rec team parent - “what about my parent coached rec team? You’re inconveniencing me and we’re better than the academy and you’re being condescending by not acknowledging that.”

No skin in this game but really?

Administrator- you have to pay club dues far above the expenses the club incurs on your behalf

Rec coach- do we get anything in return?

Administrator- no

I’ve coached multiple rec teams within BRYC and got my preferred field and days—I did what worked for my schedule since I was the coach. Coaches fill out multiple preferred days, times and field requests when registering. The field coordinator does their best to accommodate as many requests as possible based on what field permits the club gets from the county and for which days of the week. Full Elite works all practices off of two field sites. One of those sites is also used by the bridge, ODSL and rec teams. It’s a big club and all levels within the club sometimes have to work practices in on a third of field space.

Is this like this at other clubs that serve rec thru ECNL?

B...b...but we’re also ranked higher than the academy teams and they’re stuck up. Have you seen the new Mercedes the director drives and the McMansion in Great Falls he lives in. It’s a money grab!
