The poster who blames parents and says there must be something wrong at home any time someone says their child is anxious/depressed/distressed due to isolation during a global pandemic EVEN IF that poster has just said that their child is suicidal and they are desperately trying to get them the right help.

YES! I loathe these people, and I'm not a teacher.


Same! I think there are good arguments for opening schools but then some parents reduce everything to “teachers are lazy and just want to stay home in their pajamas.” Which is such a rude thing to say about the people who have been educating your children at no extra cost to you, and will continue to do so after we go back.

I mean, I have nothing against teachers - my sister is one - but it isn't as if public education is some magical free service. You pay for it with taxes. So this part seems irrelevant.

Well, note I said “no *extra* cost.” You have to pay property taxes anyway, school or no. I feel like people treat teachers similarly to how they do an employee. (And I do think there should be accountability for teachers but mostly I see these posters just armchair quarterbacking)

Posters who dump on you immediately when you say you’re a nanny. Like we are all irrelevant lumps. Lumps who are helping you be able to work from home and helping educated your kids right now. It doesn’t matter. Anytime you post that you’re a nanny, someone will always dump on you. So, my poster is ‘multiple’ posters.

Also, the Indian lady who is always complaining about her MIL and marriage. Please leave him!!!

Absolutely, 100%, the woman who pops into every single thread about cheating (or even threads not having anything to do with cheating) to remind us that her husband cheated on her with some redhead food blogging “wh@re” in bethesda even though she was “f@cking” him x3-4 times per week at home. She really, really needs therapy. And she needs to stop replacing letters with symbols in curse words. It’s so bizarre....

Yep. Plus the amount of Mah Tax Dollars that go to the entire school system is not even remotely near what a private school would cost. So if not free, you're getting a ridiculous bargain even for a mediocre teacher or schoo.

Posters who say elementary school isn’t childcare. Posters who say their six year olds are just thriving doing DL. Posters who say reopening schools are is going to lead to dead kids and teachers. On and on. I hate DCUM sometimes.
