YES! I loathe these people, and I'm not a teacher.

I think there are good arguments for opening schools but then some parents reduce everything to “teachers are lazy and just want to stay home in their pajamas.” Which is such a rude thing to say about the people [b]who have been educating your children at no extra cost to you,[/b] and will continue to do so after we go back.[/quote]

I mean, I have nothing against teachers - my sister is one - but it isn't as if public education is some magical free service.  You pay for it with taxes.  So this part seems irrelevant.[/quote]

Well, note I said “no *extra* cost.” You have to pay property taxes anyway, school or no. I feel like people treat teachers similarly to how they do an employee. (And I do think there should be accountability for teachers but mostly I see these posters just armchair quarterbacking)[/quote]
