| Hey True VA guy, don’t let Mad Lax guy get to you. He is trolling you and must know that True coaches have some ties to Marymount. |
YUP. NOVA Select was a positive experience. Hoping True is an extension of that. Very good coaches, and the players both wanted to win, and wanted their teammates to be at their personal best. |
True will hurt Madlax where it counts. In the pocketbook. No more need to park your kid on a crappy Madlax DMV team or have him not play on a Capital team. |
| Lots of red and orange helmets at the clinic for True. There will be a new top team in the area soon. |
Nova Select 2029 was horrid in the fall. It will take a while for them to turn around. True MD at 2029 is pretty bad except for one attack kid. |
| Critique of a 2029 team? That is pathetic. They have years before it is ok to rank teams. They will be a top program by the |
Who bothers to track 9 year olds? You might have a problem. |
| Does anyone have any idea of the types of events True VA will enter? Many teams already sent out tentative event schedules. I am willing to bring my son to check it out but want to know the level they intend to compete in. |
It will be interesting to see if True can take off a little. Would the most logical draw to True VA be from MadLax, Top Caliber and VLC? |
| I think more from Hardlax Hammers top caliber blackwolf |
Good question, and my guess is they can't commit to what events they will play until they know their roster for each age group. My guess is that at first they will steer away from top events. Over time they will get better players if they have good coaching and build a good reputation in the area. If you are focused on the level of competition, you will probably be disappointed, so maybe your son should stay where he is at least for now. |
Depends on if location, price, etc are what draw people to True. Nova Select was filling a gap in the market, which True doesn't seem to be continuing. They have said via email they'll be located in FC/Arlington. I assume there's a modest number of boys/families from the 3 clubs you listed, and those others mention, who'd prefer a closer in option for practices. I don't see any Cavaliers players wanting to commute for True. Wouldn't Madlax have the largest rosters to pull players from? Move from their B team at an age group to True's "A" team? |
They claim they'll do HOCO for youth (non-HS) in the spring, not sure what that means for the summer. Will they now combine MD players with VA for their regional teams? |
They will do what it takes to win. Coaching is over rated getting the best players is how to build a winning team |
| I have always wondered why families pay MadLax prices to be on the DMV team. True could be a good alternative. |
