Omg, whoever did Erin Burnett’s hair and makeup today needs to be FIRED. They made her look like a 65 year-old grandma!!!

I came onto this thread for the sole reason of checking if there is some reason Erin Barnett looks as she does today. So unimportant of course but my goodness her hair/makeup person made a big mistake today. Her reporting is great as always. The female team on CNN is so terrific.

Big hair + way too much makeup. She’s got red lips, red blush on her cheeks, lots of makeup on her eye lashes (maybe fake lashes?), and that red outfit. It’s way too much red. They colored her hair too. It’s just way too much. Her normal look is much more natural.

I know it’s a special day, but they waaaaaay over-did. I’m wondering if her normal hair & makeup team is out today.

They congratulated her hard and then Wolf asked John to give her any advice, and then the screen went to a three way split of the two of them each way back during their time in her role and she LOVED it. Really loved it and there were a few jokes about aging, then she came out with a really natural southern sounding, "you're aging like a fine wine." They kind of gave her a chance to move on, and she said she was loving it and thanked them

Yes, she has a pleasing look and voice, but isn't there more to it than that? CBS, ABC, etc actually hired (female) Chief WH correspondents with some credentials and experience. Just a couple of years ago, K. Collins was working for Tucker Carlson! I have more respect for Nancy Cordes and Cecilia Vega.
