What "regular" style features ruins a look for you?

I have leopard-print flat mules. Fight me. You'd win, since I wouldn't be able to run away without the shoes flopping around and slowing me down.

+1 and Michelle Obama wearing them to state functions so inappropriate

Expensive purses that have typical handles, and then has a removable thin shoulder strap that clips on with metal clasps. I can't fathom spending $3000 on these beautiful work of art purses, where the proportions between the bag and handles are so perfect, and then you use the shoulder strap - that best case looks like an afterthought with its little metal clips - and now have these superfluous handles on the bag that clutter against your body. I HATE this so much!

Agreed. Except I’d ditch the little handles and keep the long strap. Ain’t no one got time to carry a purse in one’s hand.

Amen.

+1, I think it's the dumb little handles that ruin the look of a bag, so just get one where the long strap is integral to the design.

Top PP, you must be really hating the aftermarket salt straps:https://www.shoppesalt.com/pages/salt-in-the-street.

YES- or make the dumb little handles a titch longer-- voila, very convenient shoulder bag where you can tuck the purse under your arm. YOu don't need the long cheap strap to have the bag flapping around you.

Lucky for you tho, I have to turn sideways to get my puffy sleeves through a doorway, so that would seriously hinder my attack!

Agreed. Something very Carol Baskin/Tiger King about wearing animal print.

Yes - and I love it! I also think Carole has a fun style. I don't know - maybe I am just so bored of tasteful clothes that I really enjoy a little tackiness. Or a lot.

Tops that just graze the waistline. It's like we are back in the 90s.

Yes, I was thinking this, too. Cropped tops and oversized tops/sweaters are both popular right now and both seem very 90's. I did both in the 90's but now would only consider the oversized.

Yeah, I don't love crop tops. Particularly all the crop tops + mom jeans around now. Its not that they're unflattering in the sense they make people look "fat"--because I get the PPs who note that fit ladies can show off their waists. Its more that the combo throws your proportions all off. Like you have this little boxy torso then this looooong flat behind.

I do prefer the crop top and pencil skirt combo, now that I think of it, because it sort of avoids this outcome!

Getting my popcorn for this epic puffy sleeve-leopard print throwdown!

I too hate puffy sleeves. Even more, bell sleeves. All that extra fabric hanging off under your wrist - how does it not get dirty? Ugh. Not flattering either. I completely despise the cold shoulder tops.

Also, uneven hemlines on dresses/skirts. Handkerchief hemlines are bad, but the worst are the ones that are long in the back and short at the front. Just... WHY? they look ridiculous.

I don't see these hemlines much anymore. I feel like that was very Real Housewives/Boomer in Key West like 10-12 years ago.

I had to look up what dolman sleeves are but I also hate them. And haaaaaate 99% of florals. All these old lady dresses hurt my eyes.

Anything with a drop shoulder. This looks good on no one. Mom jeans are also hideous unless you're 12 years old.

The hi/lo hem worked great for my short self. It's always hard to find maxi dresses that I don't need to alter, shorter hem in the front solved that problem. The overall length of that style dress is shorter too so the back never goes all the way to the ground either.

I don't really like when people wear a purse with athletic wear. Like you've put on fancy leggings, some sort of stretchy athletic top, sneakers - and a purse? Just get something with pockets to stash your phone in or wear a fanny pack.

Yes to all of this
