What "regular" style features ruins a look for you?

Similar to the cold-shoulder tops in that I don't see it as much anymore, open-toed boots/booties. I also really despise clogs and don't understand when they have a moment every 7 years or so.

Those were really bad. Fashion victim.

Will never buy a puffed sleeve or ruffle.

I actually look better in mock necks than in turtlenecks.

I will never touch a bootie, an open toed bootie, or anything ripped in a store that is sold that way on purpose. I can do that for free at home.

I look terrible in booties. And I’m so glad that we now have other options for trendy jeans that aren’t skinnies.

I don't really like when people wear a purse with athletic wear. Like you've put on fancy leggings, some sort of stretchy athletic top, sneakers - and a purse? Just get something with pockets to stash your phone in or wear a fanny pack.

Well that would make sense if the person was actually wearing workout attire to you know, work out. But 99% aren’t, it is their outfit for the day, so purse it is.

Well, say you - but I don't like it. I think it looks dumb.

Are seriously the ugliest things I have ever seen in my entire life

Tops that just graze the waistline. It's like we are back in the 90s.

I’m agreeing with you, it is a dumb look, but no dumber than wearing athletic wear all day

I don’t get mules. It looks like half the shoe is missing. Because it is

I love puffed sleeves (subtle ones, not Anne Shirley giant puffs, lol). I think it's because I have slightly sloping shoulders and they sort of offset it. I don't know, it just a feminine touch I like.

I agree with you on mocknecks and turtlenecks. They don't make anyone look better.

I don't like loose crop tops, even slightly cropped. It's not about the skin showing, same if you had a shirt under. It just looks weird. It's not flattering on anyone.

midi-length anything

Ahhh, I’m 5’9” and I love midi dresses. Will be so sad then they’re not in style anymore. Short dresses are almost always too short for a tall 40 year old

Ha, somehow I'm agreeing with both of you. I'm also 5'9" and also like midi dresses--well, at least the idea of them. Also have to admit though that even when I'm at my skinniest, they are also just plain unflattering! Think they only really work if you are tall, thin and have on a substantial heel, and even then... just sorta.

How did I forget open-toed booties? God they were awful. Though not quite in line with the OP since they seemed to be a one-time thing. (Right? RIGHT?? Surely those horrors aren't going to come back in again!?)

I love midi length, big puffy sleeves and (not too) ripped jeans. This is my fave top right now, shocking, right? ))
