Pat Summit. I idolized her as a young female athlete.

John Lennon -- the creator of such beautiful music and so many wonderful memories of listening to it . . . what a horrible death

Mary Tyler Moore -- b/c I spent so many Saturday nights watching her show with my mom, who loved her -- a great and underestimated talent, not only in comedy, but also as a dramatic actress -- see her performance in Ordinary People

Paul Newman -- a great actor, a constant and devoted husband, and a generous spirit

Whitney Houston. She seemed to have it all. We were on vacation at a great location and the collision made no sense.

Caused a lot of thought and questions

Robin Williams - I think it opened up the dialogue of people who can appear so happy have demons. It also brought up a good discussion of what happens if you're diagnosed with a life altering illness (like lewy body)

Anthony Bourdain - he sparked my culinary journey and I met him a few times I knew he had a ton of demons but it still shook me

Chadwick boseman - just the fact that he was able to hide it so well and the fact that he continued to act in movies while undergoing treatment.

Michael Landon. I'm still in shock. Patrick Swayze too, although I'm not sure why.

This is so weird, but Charles Krauthammer's death really bothered me. He had overcome so much--he was truly incredible, and I thought his logic and intellect and way of staying professional was ideal. For those who may not know of him, he was at Harvard Medical School when he broke his neck and became paralyzed from the NECK down, and finished medical school and had an amazing career.

Anyways me just typing that reminds me of Christopher Reeve; that was such a loss and always so weird to see him in Superman, looking so physical.
