I am sure I will cry when Barack and Michelle Obama die (hopefully not until they're like over 90 years old).
Gene Anthony Ray - I was at college, and everyone already thought I was weird - I wandered into the woods to get space alone so I could cry. |

John Lennon and Glenn Frey. I was really shocked by both of them. I had planned to see the Eagles on their tour at the time, but then switched to see Paul McCartney instead because I was afraid he might stop touring at his age. I live now near where Frey grew up. |

| Ronald Reagan. I’m a democrat but I was born in ‘75 so he was POTUS from (my) age 6-14–basically my childhood. So that one really hit me. Lots of others were sad/shocking to me but not like that. |

Hmmm - interesting to see Princess Diana. I guess so, simply because it was so tragic and unexpected. Reagan? A remarkable man, but his death was not exactly a surprise, so I wouldn't say his death particularly impacted me. His life certainly did though!
As for the others, just a bunch of random celebrities. No impact whatsoever. I've been much more impacted by the deaths of strangers in my community that were the result of a drunk driver, abuse or crime. Those are especially tragic and are deeply saddening for me. |
