Never mind, I see that you do. I've never heard of anyone cooking for the day - before breakfast at least. |
Thank you for providing such detailed information. I'm really intrigued by home waxing, and may give it a try! |
What a mean post. How long can you go between leg waxes or whatever? I use an epilator and I have to do it a few times a week, because hair grows back at different rates. This lady has taken time to share all this info, why be so rude to her? |
I only have one question. WHY? Is your job appearance-focused? Otherwise, I honestly don't understand why a suburban middle-aged woman would do all that. Vanity? Poor self-esteem? The hard truth is, nobody cares about your 'great hair and flawless skin'. |
Maybe she just likes it and it's fun for her? I don't know why women look down on a woman who enjoys this type of thing. There's nothing wrong with enjoying typically feminine things. PP with the selfcare routine -- you inspired me to give myself a real pedicure this weekend, with a full foot soak, using a foot rasp and finishing up with a glycolic acid peel and moisturized with castor oil. My feel look great. So thank you. |
I brush my teeth maybe four times a day. |
Yeah, this poster is quite...unique. |
NP. You obviously do. |
Her beauty routine is one thing, but I want to know why in the world she is waking up early to cook “3 meals per day for 5 people.” Her DH and nearly adult kids can’t feed themselves at the minimum breakfast and lunch? |
There’s above average grooming and then there’s OCD behaviors. I think these are seldom the same. |
Seriously. To the PP who shared your routine: thank you for sharing, I am not going to do it all but I love that you’ve built something that works so well for you! To the women who are being so judgmental to the PP: How terrible to critique another woman for what she does FOR HER and that has literally no impact on you. This entire subforum is fun and lighthearted. If you want to debate go to the politics forum. |
Wow that is a lot but it sounds like a system you have down pat. If it works for you and you enjoy it, more power to you! Do you use sunscreen or any anti-aging products or do you use only your own homemade potions? If it’s all homemade I suspect your flawless skin is more the result of good genes then the effort you put into your skin. I say this because Very few people have flawless skin at 55. I’d say I have average to above average grooming. I’m 40 and I don’t color my hair. I do try to style it and wear makeup when I go out in public. I adopted a skin routine about three years ago that I stick to pretty religiously. I try to focus on mostly well regarded, proven skin care products from the drug store, (mostly Cerave), and my “splurge” productS is prescription tretinoin, and more recently, Botox. My theory is to save money by not buying into the expensive products that are all marketing hype, and instead I focus on putting my money toward the products and procedures that are Scientifically proven to work (ie tretinoin, Botox and tons of mineral sunscreen). |
PP with the detailed routine, I want to come live at your house. I feel like it would be very warm and welcoming, if you are this devoted to taking care of yourself. Thanks for sharing your routine! |
What body lotions or oils are y’all using after the shower?? |
Seriously? Have you ever been around neurosis? Her hobby is I'm in the bathroom. This routine is about prolonging the process not results. Good on her for channeling and all, but usually not great to be around for this, IME. |
