OP here. Yes. She has small hands. She’s 5’1”, 120lbs, and busty. She’s a great person and the sex is amazing.

OP here. I have the money to pay for it. I’m older ( 39) and make $300k/year. I have money saved and the cost is not an issue. She is financially stable and makes $120k/year.

I will never forget the 3 carat diamond ring my law school roommate got. Talk about excess! She could barely pick up her hand!

I'm the exact same age and income as you (like, exactly). When I proposed I was making less (200k) and went with a 2 carat. Honestly at this point in my life and income I'd go for 2.5-3 carats. Just for the f*ck of it. All her friends and coworkers will be jealous. It's awesome. Ritani has some ~2.5 carat with reasonable specs (G, VS2, ideal) for around 30k

The average stone size in the US is 1.1 carats.

If your endowment is below average, hers should be above.

It is inversely proportional.

I don't cook, I don't clean
But let me tell you how I got this ring

My MIL has short chubby finger and recently traded up to a 2.5. It looks ridiculous. Do you know what she wants? I met a woman who had the Jean Jean Schlumberger ring from Tiffany which she used in place of a wedding/engagement ring. It was really pretty.

Huge red flag. Buy her the 3 carat so when she leaves you, she can sell it and take a fabulous vacation.

No. They will be sad that she has to put up with this kind of behavior for a cloudy two carat ring.

People are still wearing diamonds?

I have a diamond ring (which I rarely wear) but if I could do it over again, I would pick a beautiful colored stone. I think more engaged couples are doing that vs diamonds.

5'1" 120 won't age well. She will grow out of that ring after the first kid.

I have the Schlumberger ring with emeralds and diamonds. (Don’t know if they make it with colored stones anymore.)

You're an idiot. VS2 won't be "cloudy". It will be indistinguishable to the human eye.

Pp here. I checked and they make it with sapphires now.

For the record I have very long skinny fingers and hands like a spider. My ring size is a 4 something but I can use a men’s tennis racket.
