And we feel bad for your MS path. So we're even I guess.
Wow. Petty!

And the original comment wasn’t? Come on.

I knew this was going to be a hot stinking mess. Of course LT will course correct but as someone who has experienced that toxic dysfunction in that building first hand I can say that what looks good on the outside isn't always what you get once you take a bite. Trust me when I tell you that whomever the internal candidate is has been laying in wait for years. LT gets who they want in leadership positions. If that person is not a puppet they oust them and bring in someone who will go with the program. The school has very involved families and highly engaged children but there are a handful of longtime staff that are really running the school behind the scenes. It will be interesting to see who emerges and to revisit this thread in a couple of years.

Mine was intentionally passive aggressive. The PP's unintentionally oozed defensiveness, condescension, and faux superiority. Or is it not OK to return fire if the OP is probably white and UMC?

Serious question for you: What do you mean by this statement? Who "is LT" in this context? Clearly the parent cohort has changed over the years so that can't be the same group? Please advise.

Gotta ask; why do you have such a problem with the person who replied to snark with snark, but not he original post? Might want to look in the mirror my dear.

The internal candidate isn’t a secret. She’s been mentioned repeatedly by name. It’s Ms. Johnson, who is currently the head of ECE.

Get a grip, I'm the PP who mentioned principal Garvey. I'm not white. We're IB for Ludlow but lotteried into Maury years ago. We know all about the Ludlow principals from the dreadful Cobbs on. Maury was darn lucky that Garvey stayed for a decade, almost unheard of in DCPS (very strong principal, DCPS outsider staying a very long time). Comment wasn't in fact snarky.

The notion that Ludlow needed to be “stabilized” in the context of the rest of your post was pretty damn condescending, so if you really didn’t intend it to be, you may want to reflect on how you come off to others. Of course, I don’t believe for a second that you didn’t intend it to be exactly what it was...

Nope. Nothing with me. I just pointed out you sound COVID angry and might need a break. I don’t mind if you offer that to others.

She was one of the people I thought it might be so yeah. What I said stands. As I said, there are a handful of staff who have been running the school behind the scene for years. Mrs. Johnson has a good head on her shoulders and I wish her well as she moves into this new role.

What made Cobb so dreadful? The staff loved her and most of the long standing staff came in under her. She also brought the school to where it is now and the principals that followed her just maintained what she did. What is your personal issue with her?
