Favorite ski towns in the world! & Most Overrated!

There’s no lodging or development around, which I think makes it really low key. I got the impression there was a decent number of locals. The skiing there is great!

I was at Snowbasin in February and the checkout person in the cafeteria asked me where I was from, because she said I didn't sound local (and I don't have any kind of accent)! Everyone I spoke to on the gondola or chairlift was local.

But it's definitely not in a town. The base/midmountain lodges are fabulous but it's a decent drive from SLC and I guess closer to Ogden but no where on the mountain to stay.

Thanks my plan would be to stay in Ogden and take the ski bus. But I haven't done it yet because I get an ikon pass and Snowbasin is on Epic.
