I’m calling them today. |
I have a feeling this is going to be like any other service that you use but don’t consume. Like a gym membership where you have to pay even if you don’t go, cable if you have the service but you don’t use it you still have to pay for it etc. |
There has to be a happy medium here. It would be really bad if a lot of preschools and daycares simply closed up and didn’t reopen when this is all over. It’s hard enough to find spots around here. |
I totally agree. The state has to figure something out. |
Wrong move. You’ll find out when you have no spot |
Smart people use You're Don't be angry whether are no schools to go back to, you stop paying and you are off the list for spots. |
Enough said. ![]() |
Uh oh it’s the grammar police |
Many parents on this site live in a bubble and can't comprehend that not everyone can afford to dish out thousands of dollars for a closed service. |
Does anyone know if any progress has been made or guidance given to daycares/preschools by the governor’s office? We just got ANOTHER email from our center saying that they were aware a lot of parents are complaining but we are required to pay for service even if they are closed for months. I don’t know how this is even legal. |
Contact hogan.he will shut them down! |
Do you pay monthly? If so, just stop paying. |
I think this is a different question. Our day care is one of these, they have fewer than half the kids but still have almost all the same operating costs in terms of rent, insurance, payroll, etc. We are paying 50% tuition as nom-essential workers and see it as subsidizing the essential worker families as well as the day care - taking one for the team, as it were. |
LMAO!!!! |
I wish our preschool would offer that. They expect full tuition even though they have to limit class size. Our keeping child home leaves space for child of essential personnel. Seems a bit off. If we all took kids they’d be violating distancing terms. It’s obnoxious. Also, expensive. |
