It’s a big deal,actually. You can’t go five feet outside in north Arlington without bumping into a UVA legacy mom who thinks her kid should are entitled to get in.

For instate that does not sound right. Nobody with those stats has not gotten in as per our public HS naviance. UVA is not big on yield protection either. Not being snarky but since this is not your kid, is your friend upfront about the stats?

Last year, my Arlington DD 1570 SAT 3.99 was deferred EA and then, waitlisted at UVA

I believe a 4.5 from Loudon can be rejected. They have higher gpas there, than fairfax or arlington.

TJ son with 4.29 GPA, 35 ACT and five 5’s on AP tests deferred. Kind of disappointing
