Well maybe the 05s are not actually Bethesda's age group, they lost. The 04s and 06s tied.

I know. FCV is that bad.

I was at the 05 game DA game and the score was definitely 3-0. Maybe the other poster is referring to the NPL Fcv score.

Did you throw a punch or just yell at your follow parents?

No, I did not witness any of that. Is that typical for your child’s soccer games? Time to move on. Just clarifying a score and there is no need to be condescending.

Impressive win over a good Bethesda team.

You not a parent on the FCV 05 team then. That's how they roll homey.

Bethesda is not a soccer club. It is an accessory that Bethesda parents use to impress their friends and neighbors - "Oh, my DD plays for Bethesda."

The team has not produced any serious talent on the girls side for a while. Even their top prospect and USYNT member left for McLean her last season.

It was just a friendly. Didn't count for anything at all. Was a way for both teams to dust off from winter break.
FCV doesn't NEED to play McLean or any other ECNL team. They have plenty of serious competition within DA.
Again, those games last weekend were just friendlies.

So it was 1-1.

Nope both FCV 05 teams won.

The "NPL" team beat the Bethesda ECNL2 team.

The matches that I saw only had a center ref and they were not calling off side at all. The backups got a lot of playing time.

Bethesda 05 ECNL tied FCV 05 DA 1-1

Games were played across the whole club including ECNL/DA/CCL/NPL teams.
Bethesda U19 ECNL lost 8:0
Bethesda U17 (03s) ECNL lost 2:0
Bethesda U16 (04s) ECNL tied 1:1
Bethesda U15 (05s) ECNL lost 3:0
Bethesda U14 (06s) ECNL tied 1:1
Bethesda U13 (07s) ECNL lost 2:1
Bethesda U17 NON ECNL lost 3:2
Bethesda U16 NON ECNL lost 3:1
Bethesda U15 NON ECNL lost 3:0
Bethesda U14 NON ECNL lost 3:2
Bethesda U13 NON ECNL won 1:0

which was it? a tie or a loss? Interest is not so much in the 05s as just the vast difference reported.

Bethesda lost 3-0. All goals came in the second half.

FCV played really poorly in the first half. Several players playing different positions due to injuries.

No depth. That is what keeps them from being a top team. Typically when they lose to other DA teams in showcases it is due to the drop off in talent below the starting 11.

Right. First team scrimmage of the spring with 5 players out and FCV has no depth. Sure. They manhandled Bethesda with much more than the top 11.
