They construct my rib cage. I’m team mid-rise, which hits me at the waist.
High rise jeans look like: https://i.redd.it/z4i38ki30y711.jpg |

This is fascinating? I'm totally short-waisted, my body looks like I'm wearing a pipe stem corset. But I wear high-waisted stuff, and I tend to wear it tighter than most people, and I never have this issue.

This is what I have figured out for myself. When I wear high-waisted anything that goes above my stomach and then the waistband area pulls down on it. I think it causes blood flow restriction to my belly and possibly even restricts my digestion. I can't afford a new wardrobe so they go down in the car and up when I get out. I hate it.

I can’t wear paper bag waisted pants anymore. My stomach hurts so bad by the end of my work day. The pants aren’t even tight on me at all. I love them but they don’t love me. |
Me too. I was miserable in the 80’s and early 90’s and just thought something was wrong with me. Pantyhose too. And of course back then you had to wear hose to most professional jobs! When lower rises became more common it was like “hallelujah “!! |
No. You might need to see a DR. |
No never. It probably depends how you are shaped.
|
After my c- section I can’t wear them and the doctors ignore me |
Adore HW everything.
Maybe consider a different rise - Low, Mid or Reg |
No, actually I felt such blessed relief when high waist jeans came back. I should get a lifetime supply… short torso pear here, and HW works so much better for me. |
Happens to me too! I’m so glad I read this post and am not alone! |
Yes, and I only wear high rise exercise leggings with compression for exercise, never for daily activities, just so things don’t jiggle.
I only wear midrise jeans, and not too tight. I like to get mostly cotton ones with very little spandex. |
i think you need to make sure that your ab muscles (transverse abdominus and rectus abdominus) are strong enough to hold in all your organs properly, otherwise its uncomfortable/dangerous. I also heard. PT say that high-waisted jeans can push down on your pelvic floor muscles and make them weaker.
