legations that President Trump courted foreign interference from Ukraine to hurt his leading Democratic rival, Joseph R. Biden Jr., dominated presidential politics on Saturday, as Mr. Biden demanded a House investigation of Mr. Trump’s phone call with Ukraine’s leader and as Mr. Trump lashed out, denying wrongdoing without releasing a transcript of the call.

With Mr. Trump seizing on a familiar defense, saying Democrats were undertaking a “witch hunt” against him, Mr. Biden called on the House of Representatives to begin a new investigation of whether the president sought the interference of a foreign government to bolster his re-election campaign.

“This appears to be an overwhelming abuse of power,” Mr. Biden said during a campaign swing in Iowa. “We have never seen anything like this from any president.”

Mr. Trump is said to have urged the Ukranian president on a July 25 phone call to investigate Mr. Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, who did business in Ukraine while his father was vice president. Mr. Trump’s request is part of a secret whistle-blower complaint in the intelligence community that is said to involve Mr. Trump making an unspecified commitment to a foreign leader, according to two people familiar with the complaint.

Seems as if Biden has something to hide.
Reports are no commitment was made by Trump. And, that the "whistleblower" didn't actually listen to or have transcripts to the phone call. The report was based on "hearsay."

Key

Also key, the reports suggest the whistleblowers concerns were not based on a single incident or phone call, but rather a patter of activitiy over a period of time.

Also key, the IC IG agreed with the whistleblower that the complaint is an urgent concern.

Also key, Trump today admitted on camera that he pressed Ukraine to investigate Biden and son.

Underlying theme here, Manafort was working for the Oligarch against US interests. He is in jail. He was Trump's campaign manager.

I thought it was kind of an open secret that Hunter Biden was naughty in China and Ukraine.

Show me the receipts. Even if true, committing a crime to uncover a crime is no defense.

Trump is a corrupt liar and Ghouliani is his dissembling henchman and they both accidentally admitted their crime ON TV.

Despite exhaustive digging, no one has found proof of that.

And even if this were true, Trump's actions are still wrong and IMPEACHABLE.

The ultimate casualty of this Ukraine/Trump/Biden business will be Biden for sure. His already floundering campaign will be further weakened.

I wanted Biden to be the nominee but I think this will sink him no matter how much validity there is to the charges being made.

Dmitry Firtash, a wealthy Ukrainian and onetime business partner of Paul Manafort who is facing extradition to the U.S. on corruption charges, has hired a legal team with close ties to President Donald Trump.

The lawyers retained by Firtash are Victoria Toensing and Joseph diGenova, according to representatives for Firtash and for the attorneys.

Wow...that's quite cannibalistic among the GOP.

Bolton may be the source for this Mulvaney withholding story. They are all going to stab each other in the back to save themselves. There will be more GOP 'retirements" - I wonder if any GOP Senators might consider hanging it up?

Interesting. Was he working for the campaign, as he previously said? Because that would be illegal. Also, was he also representing State when he diecussed trying to clear Yanukovich and Manafort? If so, was he also getting paid by his clients to do this? Did DoJ know that he was trying to overturn and undermine their cases against Manafort?
