Do rich men really desire skinny women?

I know that my DH prefers a more normal/fit look rather than skinny. I went through a thin phase after DBs (backwards I know- but happened to me) and he thought I was too thin (am 5’5” weighed about 115). he prefers me at my normal weight (125-130, medium build, toned).

I also know some men REALLY prefer curves, big boobs, bigger butts etc...just preferences for body type. I know some rich men with curvy wives for sure

The only commonalities I see are “pretty” and “not overweight”...but lots of variations within those.

We are well off. I agree with this. Skinny may be norm but there are plenty of curvy wives, they may not be in DC. LA or Miami. But they must be pretty and definitely not fat. There is a line. It’s very clear. Curvy can be huge butt but no belly fat. Think Modern Family.

There are lots of curvy women in Miami and they're both beautiful and curvy! Everyone looks good at different weights. I think for the majority of white women we tend to look better a bit thinner than other races. I have small hips like East Asian women and I am petite. My sister in law is heavier than me. She's South Asian. She's very pretty! Her clothes are not as tight as western clothes typically are. They flatter a heavier body type. My husband would prefer me to gain weight. I'm 5'4 115 pounds. I feel good at that weight. It's just how I am. Not everything is about what men like. I think most men would actually prefer skinny wife's to be 5-10 pounds heavier. I read that somewhere. Men's ideal skinny body is heavier than women's.

I meant to write curvy and rich!

Southern women are much heavier, even the wealthy ones.

Men generally like women who look good and take care of themselves. What they find attractive varies widely but mostly it is someone that takes care of their appearance and makes an effort to look good.

Skinny for most isn't what they are looking for. Some want someone who is fit, some want lots of curves but proportional curves etc

Friends who married classmates from Harvard have normal weight wives (for rich people. Not fat but not super skinny.) These women are often busier with careers/ need calories to think hard and were picked for a combo of looks and brains. Other guys waited and married skinny. Not sure who wins!

I don't think it is racist. I used to live in Mexico City. All the rich women there are skinny too. I never saw a wealthy Mexican man married to a fat woman.

I fact-checked this and you are correct. What I find odd is that the average size is 16-18, yet the average weight is 170 lbs. A 170lb woman is not a size 16-18. 170lbs = about a size 12. A woman would have to be 200+ lbs to be a size 16-18.

Nope. The thread on the off-topics forum about founding fathers preference is by far the whitest thread I've ever seen out here

Black woman here, and no they don't. Granted, black women have more "flexibility" when it comes to the scale, mainly because black men like curves, but black men do not like shapeless fat. A small waste and pretty face are pretty much universal attributes that men desire.

I think it depends on the man. My DH and I have never had a problem getting dates before we met each other. We live in a pretty nice area, and have a HHI of 2M. I'm a size 16 and he loves every bit of it. Different strokes people.

Uh, no. Height matters greatly. As does brand. As does where you carry your weight.
I weigh 185 right now and am 5’10” and wear anything from 14-18 depending on the brand. 16 is pretty typical. I don’t think I’d be in a size 12 consistently if I lose another 15 lbs, probably a 14. And a 170 lb person who is 5’2” is not going to wear the same size as a 170 lb person who is my height.

I would love to see you in person because I can't imagine a woman as tall as you and at your stated weight being a 16. At your weight and height, you sound like a 12.

I am 5'6 and have been as large as 214. At my largest, I was a size 14-16. I am currently 140lbs and a size 6-8.

What is this obsession with dress sizes? The woman is 5-10 and weighs 185. She’s tall and not thin, no matter what her dress size is.
