Not ideal but I wouldn’t assume they have practice that Monday evening either.

Not ideal is an understatement.

20 league games in the fall is also not ideal and they are not all local either.

How early on a Friday do you reckon a ECNL player has to get out of school for a 9:00 am Saturday game in NC or SC?

Now we are going to argue about what league is more time consuming?

My daughter has played I'm both going on 5 years. Both leagues are just as time consuming as the other. Dont kid yourself.

DA is 5 days a week for 7.5 hours
ECNL is 5 days a week for 7.5 hours

Long trips and flights for both. Same amount of exhaustion to the players and number of excused absences for both.

Good and bad teams in both
Good and bad clubs in both
Good and bad coaches in both
Good and bad players in both

ECNL teams beating DA teams
DA teams beating ECNL teams

So forth and so on.

Get a grip.

Two games in a weekend is more taxing than practice is.

Practice is not even comparable to a game in intensity.

EDP schedules---there are no times or locations for either of my boys' teams.

Games start next weekend. We can tell when we are home vs away---just not where we are playing or what time.

Will the scores be posted on the CCL site eventually?

ccl has never posted scores. Doubt they will start now.

Just looked at the Boys ECNL schedule for the NE conference - which includes Maryland United and Baltimore Celtic locally - and it appears they don't have any games at all scheduled for U15 and up until December.

That can't be right, can it?

Yes, that can be right because ECNL accommodates High School soccer schedules. High School soccer is a fall sport in MD and above.

OK that makes sense.

Wouldn't the Fall B'day 05s still be in 8th grade though? Must suck for them.

Yep. My 05 is 13 and in 8th grade.

Thankfully he’s in EDP with a full schedule. I don’t know about Spring when many have HS soccer in the spring.

Stupid birth year change.

Those particular players are called a "Trapped U15" player. The club can choose two trapped U15 players to play with the U14 ECNL team through October.
All other 05s that are still in the 8th grade are usually put on an EDP team so they still play regardless.

Is there a reason why CCL does not post results on its schedules? Only lists the standings for games.

Yes, because they do not believe scorelines and the focus on scorelines is conducive to development. CCL

People against CCL will claim it is because they are trying to hide blowouts from the public. I believe to a degree, both are right. But they have never posted scores and likely never will.
