non-pizza kid party dinner (at pool)

Just get pizza OP.

ChickFila is really polarizing. Nobody will say anything at the party of course, but it’s the equivalent of using your kid to make a political statement. why would you want to?

The parents never eat at the parties I go to and the kids are not tired of pizza. Why even deal with a make your own taco bar at the pool (??).

I wouldn't bother picking up a deli order & finding out dietary restrictions or mess with wet people making their own sandwiches. Grab a variety of individual mini bags of chips to throw in a big basket & a fruit tray.

Dp. Whom are you inviting? EVERY pool party I've been to the kids are famished after swimming around for a few hours. One party the dad had a lot of kid and adults and way underordered. There were a lot of hungry and unhappy kids.

Op, go with pizza. It is just much easier and im sure the kids will enjoy it.

Oh I meant to write adults there. The kids eat, and they like pizza which is why I suggested order pizza. Adults don’t eat no matter what so I wouldn’t bother ordering special food for adults.

Whenever I am hosting an event or choosing a restaurant to meet friends at, I always ask about allergies or dietary restrictions. The vegetarian should not have to just eat salad or cheese and crackers and gluten-free people should not have to bring their own food! In my circle of friends, most of them are vegetarian and/or gluten-free for a variety of reasons (both health and moral) and all of them have stories of going to family gatherings or parties with friends and not having anything to eat because the host refused to accommodate them despite knowing about their restrictions. Don't be like these people; either provide something substantial for all of your guests or don't host!

Also, please do not get Chick-Fil-A. They do not support gay rights. Many people I know would not eat food from there or let their kids eat it. I boycott it!

CFA pp here. This is what I’m talking about. I literally don’t know anyone like this. We meet at CFA all the time. You guys are so outside the box and don’t even know it! Do whatever you want, but I’m so relieved my circles are not like this.

Almost no one we know eats CFA. It

Agreed. If anyone I know ordered it for their kid’s party, I’d look at them differently after that. I’d assume they’re much more right wing than I thought. It’s a total faux pas in certain circles.

I bet you live a life of preaching tolerance. Until someone has a different opinion. I'm guessing people see right through your facade.

Just get pizza. Kids love it. It’s easy. Parents don’t usually eat much anyway.

Or, you know, some of us are gay and have to have conversations with our young kids about why people think our family shouldn't exist.
