From what I believe, VIVA and ABGC are parting ways and each carrying on separately. I heard that VIVA has Annandale field permits. I know a lot of our kids on our teams are planning on staying.

I actually think ABGC did a good thing by letting parents know what Bo and Carlos are up to; a lot of times parents are clueless to these things. After the disclosure, ABGC has done its due diligence and it's up for each family to decide if they want to risk their money and child's ability to play with those 2 at the helm at VIVA.

And as to whether VIVA has permits.... word I'm hearing is they don't. They are going to local high schools seeking field space and getting shot down. And I know first hand that a number of U15 boys and up are defecting and showing up at other tryouts this week. So who knows.

3 years ago I pulled my kid out of the Annandale travel program and took them down Duke St. to a well run, community based travel soccer program that has integrity and care for players. Having only been exposed to Bo and clan at ABGC we didnt know how bad it really was until we saw how a real club runs. Do yourselves a favor and look elsewhere. This is absolutely one time where the grass is certainly greener on the other side of the fence.

If VIVA (Bo/Carlos) are as terrible and dishonest as the trolls here claim then answer this one critical question, “Why would a La Liga team with a reputation at stake stick with them?” And that was the entire point of the terroristic letter ABGC issued Monday ... they tried to scare away Spain. They know they can’t run a travel program so they are only left with wearing suicide vests and trying to blow up VIVA.

Go back to your bingo stand and taking social security money from senior citizens. And ask your stooge of a leader why his wife works for McLean travel. Too embarrassed by ABGC and the goon squad?

Maybe the wife works with McLean travel so she can ‘frolic’ and hang around with the big boys and men of wealth who run more than a bingo stand and falling apart soccer rec program where most the teams don’t even have coaches?? Asking for a rich friend in McLean... ?

Why are you all posting such hateful comments?? This is a forum to discuss how the current situation affects our kids and their soccer programs and what we as parents can do about it. Think about how your kid would feel if he or she read your vile comment?? Spewing vitriolic stream of conscience does not help to inform anything or anyone. Grow up, people. We are the adults here.

We have a pending offer and are still unsure what to do. Our child enjoyed try-outs and the team but we are concerned about going with Viva now. So will probably land elsewhere, which is too bad but we are not getting very good info and don't want to be left hanging.

We were are on a VIVA team this year and plan to continue next year since kids already know each other and like playing together. If things fall apart completely, we'll switch to another club. Staying put for now.

They didn't try to scare away the entire country of Spain. For pete's sake. Drama queen.

As for why Villarreal is "sticking" with VIVA and Bo and Carlos.... Villarreal doesn't know what's going on yet. Once they get wind there is a lawsuit involved, they will likely divest their association. The club didn't perform at the level they expected, and is small peanuts for them in the long run.

If anyone thinks Bo's embezzlement is no biggie, look at what happened over at McLean Youth Football. Similar situation, and it caused the club to fold. There was a nice article about it in the Post yesterday.

Parents and players should run for the hills.

I love how posters here believe it is people form the two clubs making the nasty comments. Does it not dawn on anyone that other clubs want to watch BOTH of them fail and are the ones instigating all the drama here? Several clubs are infamous for doing exactly that on this forum.

Who would love nothing more than for BOTH clubs to fail? Probably the clubs in the closest proximity and most to gain in terms of players?
