Number one biggest problems in youth soccer for many reasons is the useless and expensive travel burden, not too many unregistered players. He offers no solution and in fact the da and the gda are some of the worst offenders.

Not every game, every showcase game, and in theory a certain percentage of league games, although I haven't seen any at any of the Spirit games in a while, so I'm not sure how binding that really is.

Scouting every game seems like a big waste of time and resources. The people working with these players every day would know if a player had unusual ability. Scout the players that have special talent mentioned by the coach. Most players in the gda have some level of skill and talent but nothing that unique.
