Exactly. Your good friend received what is called “rehabilitative spousal support” so that she could re-enter the workforce. You were already self supporting, so no support needed. women do serve in combat, although this administration is trying to walk that back. And when women are represented proportionally in congress they should certainly be represented proportionally elsewhere including the draft.

2018 7 k per month alimony for 6 years. Three kids sahm wife.

A female friend of mine just told me she is divorcing her husband. He is 20 yrs older than her. They’ve been married 15 yr and no kids. Shortly after they married, he took early retirement. She has supported their household for the last 10 yrs. He received social security and his pension. She has to pay him alimony until he dies or remarries.

And given this logic, you want all women to "roll the dice" and decide to have kids knowing that if their marriage were to ever end they would just have to suck up all their lost income/earning potential for the years they were out of the workforce? This is the society you want to live in?? The social contract of rearing a family is null and void. All women who's marriages end and have kids forfeit any support from the father to compensate for the family rearing duties that took her away from an outside paycheck and to help her get back on her feet while she still has, at a minimum, joint custody? I didnt ask my wife for a prenup. I just handed her a notoraized document that stated she got everything except for 20k to keep me afloat for a few weeks and have a deposit. I never wanted to feel or her to feel that she had to stay with me to maintain same lifestyle. I made the money once, can do it again. Our relationship being successful is number 1 priority to me.
