Is the 2.0 debacle worth opting out?

I got worksheets sent home daily. I guess teachers differ (my kid's K teacher was stellar, and he learned a ton, despite the crudely designed worksheets).

Did you ever contact the teacher about any of your concerns?

My kid just finished K in Moco. We got no worksheets home and homework was optional. We did not do homework aside from the reading which I was doing anyway and the family poster at the end of the year.

In K this past year we got monthly compilations of writing work sent home - pictures with a few words to a few sentences written underneath. We also got a fair number of various kinds of worksheets home - mostly math but some reading and writing too.

^^ oh, the kids also did a “research project” on an animal. Habitat, what it eats, etc. My kid chose the Shi Tzu! It was kind of hilarious.

Often, including the principal. Nothing ever changed.
