Our beloved Stokke Xplory stroller. It lasted 10 years, and that was the first version with the repair issue.

Our small house in an expensive neighborhood with a good public school with a great reputation for caring for children with special needs. Now THAT was a splurge if you like. We couldn't really afford it, but we tightened our belt and it was worth the sacrifice.

May I ask what school?

The Bethesda Elementary School in downtown Bethesda.

Homeschool. On the one hand, we are doing it right thing for our kid. On the other, this is the most expensive thing we have done besides buying a house.

Grocery delivery in the winter months

I don't even consider bi-weekly house cleaning a splurge anymore, I think having FIOS is now more of a splurge than the cleaners are.

Expensive because one of you gave up an income?

I got the annual unlimited wax membership and go every 2 weeks. Try that one next time, now that’s a game changer. Plat Card more than pays for itself as well so agree with you on that one.

Wait, how much is an unlimited wax membership? I can see the service prices on the website but I cannot see the pass prices.

I summered in the Hamptons, 11 summers. Met numerous celebs, dated a few models, had a Mercedes SL and a Jeep Wrangler at summer house as my Day/Night cars.

Jeep for beach, Mercedes for clubs. Pretty much I blew all my money 100 percent doubt stuff like this for 11 years. Loved it!!! Consider it money well spent

High end haircut (I’m a guy)

Friends and family mock me for spending $75 a month on a simple haircut but it’s so relaxing. Same girl has been cutting my hair for probably 5 years. Always great, she’s cute, great conversation, shoulder massage, and a beer.

Can’t beat it.

Twice a week cleaning service. Hourly rates for any domestic chores. These ladies have worked for me for past 10 years.

Lawn mowing and lawn treatment services.

Organic milk, poultry, fish, meat and soft skin fruits.

Kids EC activities, coaches and tutors at home.

Weekly massages at home.

Expensive haircut every three weeks with 30% tip.

Hired help for serving food for all at home dinner parties.

Home renovation and maintenance.

Annual big vacation.

I am very frugal in ways that does not show to others.
