It was motivated by Barr being really, really f*cking deplorably stupid. I can see why you share her points of view. |
It's just so exhausting not being a racist, isn't it? |
Your snarky douchebaggery has been duly noted. Your ex-wife must be thanking her lucky stars. |
This is why you support Trump. To suggest that insulting someone is the same as a blatant racist comments says all we need to know about you. Trump said horrible things about Obama. They were racist also! Given our history of slavery and racism, the fact that you would even write this is incredible. |
If we could just get the order of the worst to least disparaging remarks we may be more able to keep up with your outrage on these topics. |
I like Trevor Noah's comment that what Rosanne tweeted is "shit in your pants racism". Everyone can smell it, everyone can see it, and nobody wants to help you clean it up. |
If you are interested in lists, then you should make your own. You can tell us what type of violent imagery regarding presidents is acceptable and which isn't. Based on observation, holding a fake severed head gets you kicked off your show but saying Obama and Hillary should be hanged gets you invited to the White House. Similarly, it appears that mocking grabbing a woman's breasts requires for you to resign from the Senate, but actually grabbing a woman's genitals gets you elected president. Lying about sex gets you impeached if you are a Democrat, but lying about paying off a porn star doesn't if you are a Republican. It would obviously take someone of your caliber to explain all of this, so please get started. |
+1 yep, and Ambien didn't put those thoughts in her head |
Yes, it was (I'm also somewhat conservative). But so was Samantha Bee's. Honestly, I don't see one as less awful than the other. |
Bee's wasn't racist! How much clearer does one need to be. Trump has called people far worse than Bee and he is Prez and you all seem to just looooove him for it. But Rosanne--clear cut racism. Which, let's be honest, Trump hangs his hat on that post too. |
Actually I think its something kind of simple. Clinton apologized to the American public. Just a few months later, impeachment began. Griffin apologized. Shows canceled. Franked apologized. Leaves the senate. Trump doesn't apologize. Wins the presidency. In modern society, people take apologies as signs of weakness and an admission of guilt. Apologizing doesn't seem to satiate the mob. Not apologizing seems to be perceived as strength. That seems to be the explanation to me. |
Sure. |
If people hadn’t gone so far as calling Michelle Obama an ape, and it weren’t The Donald’s presidency when it occurred, I don’t think RB’s tweet would have received as much attention and repucussion. Unfortunately, there are racists everywhere. I liken Rb’s racism to Kramer’s “ni**er comment, but with even more political ramification.

This is exactly why we have who we have in office. He knows a certain segment of the population will always protect people who are rich, powerful and share their melanin. He knows how people are so quick to believe the worst in others but need to be beat to death with the truth before they believe it’s possible for the rich or the white, or the powerful, or the popular can also be horrible people. It’s the reason why this President can push the boundaries of law and human decency and half of this country will make excuses for him.
I don’t care about Roseanne’s politics, but I do care that she continues to make blanket nasty statements about race and religion and people try to excuses for her behavior. If you’ve paid the slightest attention to Roseanne’s twitter feed and YouTube videos over the past few years, you’d knew she went off the deep end a long time ago and this is not the first time she’s referred to a person of color as an ape. Admit you don’t care, but don’t insult our intelligence by pretending you don’t know. |
I hesitate to respond to a troll but here is why Rosanne Barr's comment is much worse. Samantha Bee's chose one inflammatory word. Replace the word "c**t" with "jerk" or even "asshole" and it is standard political comedy. Now what can you do to fix Barr's comment? Her problem is much more than a choice of words. I suppose you could make the tweet more transparent by writing "Valerie Jarrett is black and a friend of Barack Obama and therefore she is ugly." |
