Let me see:
MD, VA, DC, DE, NC, FL, TX, UT, CA, PA, NY. I'm just counting the ones that I have stayed overnight for at least 2 nightd. I mean there were times in my younger years when we drove along the west coast, but we didn't really see OR or WA state, we just drove through and stayed at campground for 1 night, wake up and start driving again. And some of the states are so big, it doesn't feel like you really get to know the place. TX and CA are huge. Houston is different than Dallas and Austin, etc. Northern CA is different than LA. I would like to visit all and see more than just the National Parks. |
South Dakota is a beautiful place to visit, especially the western side. Make it part of your next vacation. |
| Every state except for Alaska, South Carolina, Arkansas, Oregon, Wisconsin, Michigan and Vermont. |
| I've got 41 down (no counting layovers at airports). Still need Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota and Wyoming. |
I am at 47 and agree with this. Except for maybe NJ. I had to work really hard to find anything redeeming about NJ. I thought it was a lost cause until I visited Princeton. Still my least favorite of the 47. |
New Jersey actually kind of surprised me. I thought the areas around Lawrenceville and Princeton are really beautiful. I wouldn't want to live there, but it wasn't at all what I expected. |
| I've been to 35 and hope to get to all 50. I have traveled a lot outside of the US as well. |
| I think that my count is 36. I've taken a couple of cross country Amtrak trips, so I've ridden through another 8 or so and especially enjoyed seeing the western states' scenery out the window, but I'm not counting those. But definitely have never been to NM, AZ, AR, OK, SD, or KS. |

I've been lax, but you can see the big flyover area that I've missed. I've been in several airports in that region, but never left the airports.

I want to go to ND. But not as much as several other states. Sucks that the oil companies bought it. I spent about two weeks in OK, moving around the state. It sucks. No need to go, other than to tick it off. |
| All but three - and my misses are on the two ends: Alaska, New Hampshire and Maine. |
| 19 |
| 48--not Alaska or Hawaii. |
