Thanks....anyone else have any updates? |
Interesting. I'm somewhat inclined to believe that making it so much easier to apply, along with giving the new low-SES weight, is resulting in wait lists moving faster. More people applying without really considering the logistics, etc., and then realizing that they can't actually pull it off... ? |
What is SES? |

DS will start kindergarten in 2019 and I’m thinking of applying for one of the immersion programs. Do the kids use the Chromebooks as much in the immersion programs? |
The curriculum for immersion is identical to non-immersion, so I think it's safe to assume that things are pretty equivalent (including Chromebook usage), although this also might depend a lot on the teacher. We are in immersion, and while I occasionally hear about Chromebooks being used, it does not seem to be an inappropriate amount IMO. |
Anyone have any wait list updates? |
Do busses come and get your kid for these lang immersion commutes? these sound like long bus rides. |
They come to the local elementary schools to pick up and drop off. |
Anyone have any updates about the waitlist?
|
Don't know what numbers they are at, but things usually move along the first few weeks of school when they find that people have moved, some on waitlist who are chosen stick with their home school, etc. |
Anyone on the waitlist getting calls for 2019-2020 school year yet?? I applied for all, my best number is 48. |
Yeah, you're not getting in anywhere. |
The "fix" is to just move into one of the school districts that have them if it is that much of a priority. |
