Michael Cohen and related issues Master Thread

For a journalist, it is. Remember when Keith Olbermann was suspended without pay for making three donations totaling $7,200 to Democratic candidates while working at MSNBC? It seems almost quaint compared to the conservative media cesspool.

Not to his audience.

If he owed Trump favorable coverage for burying a scandal, it's a problem that is bigger than his audience.

I feel like we should get a new thread about hannity, this is nuts. Hannity used his public platform to go on and on about cohen and the investigation, portraying himself as an independent 'journalist' when in fact he was personally involved with these people.

Yeah, they kind of blew it with threads about every detail of the story. Maybe if/when we learn the nature of hannity's scandal, it will deserve its own thread.

Is Sean Hannity hard pressed for cash? Why would he hire a third-rate lawyer?

Because Cohen is willing to do things that other lawyers won’t do. Other lawyers have a sense of self-preservation and won’t jeopardize their license to practice law. Cohen is willing to violate the law and legal ethics to push the interests of his clients.

I expect the NY Bar to revoke Cohen’s license to practice very soon.

Source to @GloriaBorger -- Sean Hannity didn't get billed by Cohen... and there was no FORMAL attorney client relationship.

But Hannity called from time to time to get input from Cohen on legal issues.

So, then, there's no attorney-client privilege to their communications. You can't have it both ways.

I’m thinking Fox News must be in the dark about this. They didn’t know the extent of what happened. It’s been rumored for a long time that Hannity was a serial sexual harasser and I’m sure Fox News helped cover that up, similar to O’Reilly. But going thru Cohen must mean something much worse than everyday harassment.

Take your pick of awfulness - sexual assault, unintended pregnancy, etc.

I don't think your average lawyer has much experience with these catch and kill arrangements.

I call bullshit on Borger’s reporting. Hannity/Cohen have every incentive to downplay the relationship. These men are crooked AF and have been lying for years.

So Hannity was paying Cohen through trump advertisement in his show. Shady as hell!

Yes, just what did Cohen fix for Hannity?

Why does the song "burn the witch" from Radiohead comes to mind when reading this thread?
