My daughter’s dream school. Good luck!
Pomona as a city is one of the worst cities in CA. Pomona and San Bernardino are the murder capitals of CA.

I think you're looking for the "What are the murder capitals of each state?" thread.
That translates to campus safety.

Pomona College is not in Pomona, CA, but Claremont CA. One of the wealthiest and most educated suburbs in Southern California, streets named after universities lined with trees and historic Victorian houses, and a thriving village downtown. Sweeping mountain views as well. We could not tell we were in the middle of the Greater LA metropolitan area while we were there, and fell in love with it (as East Coast parents taking our daughter to college tours). It was spotless and totally safe in the three nights we were there- we wandered late at night through the village and never felt any danger.
Rape reports per capita are better correlated with the schools which have the resources and atmosphere to support survivors of rape and sexual assaulted (most rapes go unreported), not those where rape necessarily happens the most. Liberal art colleges care about the well-being of their undergrads, as do the students for each other and the professors for their students. On a side note, the per-capita statistics are misleading because Pomona College is in a large university-like setting (all joined together, who have a integrated social activities) with over 7000 students.
