Any Stokes EE Families?

I was originally #8 on PK3-French waitlist, was called tuesday and enrolled today.

Will give up my seat the first week of school, if environment isn't structured enough for my child.

Does anyone know if PK3 is 100% French curriculum?

What is the highest number anyone has for Spanish K? We are in single digits and on the fence about it, maybe pass and re-add it?

What kind of structure are you looking for? Maybe you should give up your seat now so a family that really wants it can have it. The curriculum for the entire school is 50/50 English and the target language.

Any information on the playground situation at the EE campus? I've reviewed a number of materials and haven't come across mention of what the playground will be like. Thanks!

Hmmm
Wouldn't prek classes be 90 to 100% immersion, just like their Brookland location? Where did you get this info about 50/50 for ECE?

Exactly. It's 90/10 for PK3 -PK4 and 50/50 starting in K

I went to the construction tour a while back during one of the community events and if I remember correctly there will be two playgrounds one for younger kids likely 5 and under and then another for the older bunch. It was mentioned that the playground will likely not be ready to setup until maybe September and parents will be asked to volunteer to help setup, part of building community within the school.

Structure as in a disciplined classroom where an experienced teacher manages poor behavior quickly and decisively. My son is... Difficult.

Stokes waitlist remains intact when school starts, so the next child on the list would get an offer immediately. I

Shut up you don’t know what you’re talking about. The entire school is not 50/50. Pre-K is 90/10. Get a life and stop trying to act like you know it all.

OK, that makes sense. It's great that you know your son and his needs. I hope Stokes works out for you. What alternatives have you considered?

That rudeness is unnecessary. What grown person think it's OK to talk to people like that. Stop projecting your self hatred onto others.

Not sure if you’ve been living under a rock but everyone on dcum is rude!

Alternatives are either his current private immersion preschool, which I can barely afford, or LAMB. I was in the 60's on the LAMB wait list, but just received a call offering a spot, today.

I'm sure Stokes East End will be a great school
The parents seem friendly and supportive via email, and I can't wait to meet the teachers.

You sound annoying. Go to Stokes.
