We get California Olive Ranch from Whole Foods

This makes me feel a little better because I really like the California Olive Ranch oil. Lately I've been buying that or the CA olive oil from Trader Joe's. now I wonder if the later if fake though since it is not on the certified list.

Who d you think is adulterating the olive oil? It's not Trader Joe's who is doing it.

Right. The problem is where they are "produced" vs. "packed."

Sigh. People really don't read. We also have seemed to have lost our faith in truth in labeling.

I would rather pay more for the real stuff anyway. California Olive Ranch costs a bit more but worth it

I would too, but I did t realize even the CA version from Trader Joe's was also fake. I usually buy olive oil based on where I'm shopping that week.

So how do we know which avocado is real and which is fake? I know that Costco sells it- is that one ok? The avocado oil I've seen elsewhere is expensive for a small quantity.

Thanks FDA. Nice to see our taxpayer dollars at work!

Seriously, what's even the point of food labelling if none of them mean anything?

I'm wondering this too. I don't trust anything anymore.

I read that article when it first came out and I returned a bunch I had bought on sale and now exclusively buy California olive ranch and Luciano which consistently have been tested and rated as pure. They are definitely more expensive but I don’t have time to worry about this and it really bothered me when I read it. Harris teeter often runs buy one get one free in California Olive ranch.

I tried the Luciano but I didnt like the taste- it was so strong. It kind of made me realize how fake the olive oil I had been eating was because it tasted like bland vegetable oil in comparison. Anyway is the California Olive Ranch a good flavor?
