I agree with King 100%. We can't just give our nation away to foreigners.

Are you a native American? Everyone else is a "foreigner".

Nope. We conquered the land from the natives. That's how it works. If ISIS or Mexico wants to invade and give it a try, have at it.

You are still a foreigner. And dollars down that YOU did not conquer it from anyone and also chances are that your ancestors came here seeking a better life - unless your ancestors were wealthy immigrants, which is uncommon.

I inherited my share of the country from those that claimed it, fought for it, defended it. It's MINE now. It's MY SAY (our say) as to whether I share it. And I say NO. You say yes, open the floodgates and give it away. But luckily more people agree with me.

Actually Trump lost the popular vote by 3 million give or take a few. So even that statement of yours is wrong.

Lol. And that means nothing in our nation. Except the consolation prize. You're stuck with the electoral college Hahahhba.

Trump won by the slimmest of margins. The very slimmest - 80,000 people made the difference. Let's see how many people like what the GOP is doing to their healthcare? Or when their water turns putrid because of lack of oversight? Or when they realize that Mexico isn't paying for the wall? Or the promised tax cut goes to billionaires not middle class Americans? Or when the coal mining jobs don't come back? Or when they tire of the endless moronic antics of the POTUS?

Hahahahahaaha. Yup. Don't be smug.

DP... white man may have done so, but the country was built by foreigners from all over the world, some came willingly, others were forced.

Agreed. And if they are here they can stay. That doesn't mean we need to open the flood gates to everybody else.

Another DP...so it was ok for your ancestors to come and make a life here, but now that you have yours, you selfishly tell everyone else to fuck off? That isn't an American value. Sorry.

#notsorry

The mindset of today's Republican in a nutshell. "I got mine, f*ck all of you,"

The mindset of a typical communist: you don't own what's yours and it's for the state to give away.

You seem to be confusing private property with the right to enter the country.

And how did your ancestors "inherit" it? Chances are, they just got off the boat. How does anyone inherit a share in this country? Same way your ancestors did - by immigrating here. I don't understand your logic. This country is made up of immigrants. Whether we need more or less now is debatable, but your logic about "inheriting" the rights to this country applies to immigrants today, as well.

GOPers on this board are just ultimately just a bunch of selfish assholes, okay? They're not dumb enough to vote against their self-interests, but they have no problems telling their "salt of the earth" proles--the God, guns, and meth heads--what to think in order to secure their next round of tax cuts.

Ultimately they'll have succeeded in killing off so many of their would-be voters that even their most ridiculous gerrymandering schemes may fail. Maybe.

Such tools.

And here's the latest - which has gotten even worse.

To clarify: when I say "worse" I am going to assume you're not a white nationalist. If you are a white nationalist, you will probably think it's gotten better.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/14/politics/kfile-steve-king-prediction/index.html

"Iowa Rep. Steve King said Monday that blacks and Hispanics "will be fighting each other" before overtaking whites in the US population.

King, a Republican, was on the radio responding to a question about Univision anchor Jorge Ramos' comment to Tucker Carlson on Fox News that whites would become a majority-minority demographic in America by 2044, a point Ramos used to make the argument that it is a multiracial country.
"Jorge Ramos' stock in trade is identifying and trying to drive wedges between race," King told Iowa radio host Jan Mickelson on 1040 WHO. "Race and ethnicity, I should say to be more correct. When you start accentuating the differences, then you start ending up with people that are at each other's throats. And he's adding up Hispanics and blacks into what he predicts will be in greater number than whites in America. I will predict that Hispanics and the blacks will be fighting each other before that happens.""

Wow. It truly does just keep getting worse and worse with King.

King is absolute scum and so is anyone engaging in any defense. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

That's perfect - the clam closing is the reduction in our birth rate, making immigration necessary to keep increasing the population.

I wrote further up in the thread about Iowans and diversity and subtle racism....

Here's an article that basically backs it up. The newspaper they cite is the newspaper I read everyday growing up. Carroll County.
