No idea.

What I know is that she's better than 99% of the politicians we have in the city.

Here's a first: she listens to her constituents.

Uh, no. Professor Cheh does not listen to her constituents. In fact, she's doesn't much listen to anyone.

Disagree. She listens. You may disagree with her, but it is also likely that for every one of your voices, she has head 50 from the other side.

Case in point, outdoor pool in the Ward.

She seems very selective about who she listens to.

I can't think of a single public school parent I know who feels she listens. In general she doesn't seem to care much about families with children.

Old people's issues, she's all over.

She selectively listens.

Case in point, Turtle Park users didn't want to sacrifice any existing park uses for a pool. Cheh listened to them, but by then frustrated, she decreed that the pool at Hearst which is only one third the size of Turtle Park!

Yes, case in point, Massachusetts Ave., Heights residence screamed bloody murder about a homeless shelter site on on Wisconsin Avenue near their homes. Che listen to them, but by then frustrated, she decreed that the homeless shelter should be stuck in McLean Gardens.

When Prof. Cheh finally makes her mind up, unlucky Ward 3 residents had better just suck it up and eat their peas. After all, She always knows what is best for you!

Other than spout meaningless, far-too-late platitudes, Cheh did next to nothing when Bowser was playing her little games with the Murch renovation last year, even though her daughters actually went to Murch. That's pretty much all you need to know about her.

People will say Anybody But Cheh (ABC) until election time and then they will forget about what upset them? Is she the longest serving Ward 3 rep?

She Who Always Knows Best must become she who used to be on the Council.

I spoke with her many years ago charters. That was at a time when few Ward 3 families were attending, but anyone with half an interest in education could spot huge potential. Her attitude was as you describe.

What are you even talking about? Remember when her entire ward overwhelmingly supported Fenty's reelection, and she publicly endorsed Vince Gray?

+1

When they first floated Eaton being moved to Hardy, she was making the campaign rounds and came to our church donut social. I point blank asked her if she intended to do anything about it and she said "Oh, I don't really know much about that."

But her hand-picked representative on the school boundary committee made sure that Eaton was the school that got moved from Deal and then dismissed Eaton's fate as "collateral damage."

She’s running unopposed in the primary. Personally, I would like some fresh blood in the race.

The person running against her in the general is a green machine lackey. So at least there is that.

Given what we know now about the Michelle Rhee smoke and mirrors and other corruption from the Fenty Administration, that seems to be the right call. Gray himself was never implicated in anything and did a damned good job of actually running the city.

We need new blood. We need someone more centre or conservative. How can there not be ANYONE willing to run from the centre in Ward 3??????
