It's common in a acrimonious divorces. A heated argument gets elevated and exaggerated to the point of criminality. I doubt there's substance since these things didn't come out prior to the divorce, like a clear paper trail and long history of police called for domestic disputes, neighbors intervening or commenting, other partners substantiating a pattern of behavior .... I highly doubt that rape accusations are common in acrimonious divorces.

Also, even if you buy that load, what a large percentage of horrible divorces these guys have had! I mean, seems like they suck at managing their relationships
