It seems that most guys don't care about height, or if anything they favor short girls, as your MIL complained about. Strange how different the sexes are in that regard |
Of course, I'm tall and in my office I tower over short men, which makes them feel insecure. |
Speaking as a short woman... that is the one thing I envy about tall women. Ohhhhhhh how I would LOVE that |
It DOES make up for all the years of elementary school. I'm the boss, I hold many "stand up" meetings and use my height to my advantage. |
I'm 6' and I love being tall. I felt a little awkward about it in middle school, but I think most of us felt awkward at that age. Married to a handsome 6'5" guy. I think if I were bigger boned I might not love being so tall, but I'm smaller boned and slender so I get more of the "you should be a model" comments rather than the "did you play basketball" comments. |
Short men that are insecure are insecure due to their arrested development not their lack of height. |
5'10" and no. I liked being taller growing up, played a bunch of sports, but now, I'd like to be a bit shorter. |
No, they're insecure because of their height. And they should be. Short men are creepy. I'm not super tall (5'10") but when I was single I never dated a man that was shorter than me. It just didn't make me feel feminine. I always felt like short men were sizing me up like I was some kind of sexual treehouse to climb and explore. Creepy, creepy, creepy. Plus (with occasional exceptions) taller men typically have more to offer in the bedroom, and I've never found myself in a situation where I was thinking "wow, I wish that was a little smaller". |
I had a boss that was 6'2 and wore 5' heels every day and a big old 'helmet head' hairdo which added a few more inches. She was a big woman too. She used her height to intimidate everyone. I doubt she was trying to look attractive to men. She was just using her freakish height to her advantage. |
I am 5’6”. Love my height and couldn’t be happier. It’s definitely taller than the average female height of 5’4” in the US but not gigantically tall like over 5’9” for a woman.
No issues fitting into clothes and hardly any issue with reaching stuff on the top shelves while shopping. Dating pool is also bigger, I can easily slide into flats and go out with a 5’9” guy, or wear 4-5 inch heel and go out with a guy over 6’ without feeling awkward with any of them. |
"Short" men aren't necessarily smaller in the Johnson department. My DH is 5'8" and rocks my world. We are the same height and he is the best in bed. |
PP here..
I just had to get some tonight from my 5'8" man. Wow. |
To each their own. I just enjoy a man with a more formidable presence. A well endowed 5'8" guy might be fine for you. But I've always prefered an even-more-well-endowed 6'6"+ man. |
I'm 5' 10" and built like a Butterball turkey.
Men are intimidated by me because of my high self esteem. Haaaaters! |
At 5'8" I didn't realize I was tall until I moved to the U.S. |
