100%. Our former bilingual MacFarland loses a lot of kids to DCI feeders in fourth and fifth grades. And those are the families that didn’t choose a DCI feeder over their IB in ECE. |
We chose a Hardy feeder over a Deal feeder. The benefits of a smaller, less chaotic environment far outweighed the slight differences in course selection or activities.
We’re still in wait and see mode for MacArthur, but there’s enough high school options in DC that will work for my kids. |
This is a preview of the MacArthur vs JR debate in a few years. The bottom line is clear. If there is decent buy in from in-boundary families, the school flips very quickly. |
