Just saw it with 5th grade DD. LOVED it. We both laughed so hard, throughout the movie (when we weren't squeezing hands from the suspense).

Crowd was very into it, and most seats were sold. Some even clapped at the end in rhythm with the ending song. There were some "yeah" 's during the cameos. Watch until the bitter end. AA guy beside me laughed a lot, too. It's not a chick flick - just a fun family (not young kids) movie.

And +1 to those who said the original had too much innuendo in it - my DD isn't allowed that one, but this one was great for her.
