Visit all of the cathedrals in France to photograph and sketch their stained glass.

I need to see the Marc Chagall stained glass. The art work stirs me. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:UN_Glass.jpg

That is why I do not want to go to any pristine, remote or ecologically fragile places.

It's possible to visit most places in a conscientious way. Aside from the plane or car to get there. But iPhone factories in China are hurting the glaciers as much as the cars near them.

I know. I climbed Kilimanjaro. The trash off the hiking trails and the disappearing ice cap at the top made me sad.

We are planning Vietnam & Cambodia next Christmas, probably Singapore after over New Years.
Hawaii for Feb winter break
Either Greece or Italy this summer (we hope!)
Morocco possibly next Feb break
Machu Picchu & Galapagos Christmas 2023
Safari in 2024 or 2025
India in 2024-26
China or Japan at some point
Hopefully Egypt & Jordan, possibly Israel but depends on stability

We go to France & other places in Europe most years (dh is French), Caribbean often, haven’t traveling abroad since 2019. We did a bunch of bucket list national parks in 2021 which was great, hope to do more of those as well.
Oldest dc graduates in 2027, youngest in 2032.

I think flying internationally for the next 1-2 years is still going to be rough - in the sense of inconvenience (testing/flights cancelling/$$/etc). Our 2 kids are 10 and 12 now. I'm trying to stay domestically but we would love to do Europe as well..

- Santa Fe - I have a real obsession for NM and would really like to do White Sands too
- Marfa TX/Big Bend National Park
- Greece
- Portugal
- Munich
- Aix en Provence
- Moab/Arches/UTnational parks in general

I had wanted to go to Iceland for Northern Lights at one time - that was my big bucket list place but I'm so obsessed with US SW these days I don't know why. I was always a big city and water girl but now in my late 40s, I'm attracted to mountains and desert and culturally the SW.
