How late will you let your child stay up on Superbowl?

I put mine to bed after halftime show --9pm. Close to usual bedtime--but they were exhausted. One had 2 hour soccer tryouts, 2 basketball games and an indoor soccer game as well as 2 bday parties (which involved lots of running). He didn't put up any protest (10 years old)...and slept until 8am today.

His little brother (7) is like my husband and exists on little sleep--he's always walking into our room at night and wakes up an hour earlier than older brother.

Every house/kid is different. I don't really care what others do.

Now--if this was the World Cup-- you can bet your ass my kids would watch the whole thing)

9y old went to bed at 9:30 (typically goes to bed at 8.) DH says when he is 10y, he should be able to stay up. I don't agree, but it isn't a battle I want to fight.

DC is 10 -- since we're 2 hours ahead of East Coast time, we'll let her stay up 'til it's over (but won't head out for the celebrations once we win....Broncos fever is highly contagious and great fun too [and at the risk of outing myself, since we lived in NC for 9 years, this game is tremendous fun for us to watch, debate, discuss, and relish!)

Why did you say Denver is the other DC??

Denver, Colorado... they have shirts, hats, etc ... that say DC.

My 10 year old stayed up for the while thing and my 16 year old went to bed at 12:30am. We had friends over and it got kind of hectic, originally my plan was to have my 10 year old in bed by 10pm.

How does your 7 year old stay up until 10:30 every night and still get 10 hours of sleep? My 7 year old and most of his friends go to bed at 7:30-8:00pm most nights.

Not pp but if her kid goes to bed at 10:30pm and gets 10hours of sleep, he wakes up at 8:30am. School must start between 9:15 - 9:30am I am guessing. Totally doable.

Well--it's a sports culture school. Not overly academic

Yes, that is why they do it. To show everyone that academics are not important. I wish our school did this.
