This is true. That being said, they are still more respected that the run of the mill lawyer. |
OP here. Why is everyone ignoring my examples?
A family practice DO is more prestigious than a HLS big law associate? |
What is this? |
Most people dont know the difference bwtn MD and DO, a doctor is a doctor to most of us. |

OP, you are obviously very dense. Why don't you just accept the fact that no one agrees with you? |

This. Consider it a lesson in humility, OP. |
Yes. A family practice doctor is more prestigious than a big law associate. When I think prestigious, I think of what your parents would be more likely to brag to their friends about and which one they would want you to be. Clearly, that is a doctor. There is absolutely no question about it. In fact, don't I think any practicing lawyer will ever outstrip the prestige of a physician. |
Way back in the day, wealthy English families wanted their sons to represent the family in the three most powerful areas -- law, religion and (what was the third, help me out DCUM)? |
This only applies to second and beyond sons who had to go out and make a living since they wouldn't inherit anything. It was more prestigious then to be the heir and not work at all ![]() |

Way back in the day. In England. When women didn't work, and most weren't allowed to be educated, much less practice law. Are you sure you would like to return to that time? |
What about a drug dealer making 100 million a year. That is more prestigious than both. |
LOL |
Because your examples are dumb. |
Definitely Physicians |
Kim Kardashian makes more money than Big Law. She gets lots of free perks, such as designer clothes, luxury stays at resorts, flys in private jets, spends weeks on yachts. Way nicer than the free shuttle service and lunches for Big Law.
Her career in reality shows and sex tapes must be heads and tails more prestigious than Big Law. |
