| What is "uneven" skin tone? (Perhaps that's the answer. I haven't noticed how flawed I am.) |
| I can't imagine leaving the house without make up. I have clear skin and am what most people would describe as attractive. But no way am I confident enough to walk around with a bare face. More power to you if you can! Maybe it's a southern thing, but I do not feel dressed without makeup. |

I'm 44, and I don't wear makeup on a daily basis. I teach Pre-Kindergarten and the kids don't care. I've been at my school for eight years, so I've nothing to prove except my devotion to the kids and my craft. I especially don't wear it in the summer while I'm doing camp... what's the point? It sweats off in the first half hour. I have a good complexion and take care of it. I use retinol and sunscreen, exfoliate regularly, and always cleanse before bed. But don't get me wrong... I like makeup. When I go out in the evening (which is only once in a while) I wear it. I love to wear eye makeup and experiment with smokey eyes, etc. I like the way it looks on me, but my complexion, fortunately, is good enough to go without.
It's just that I'm outdoors in the summer A LOT and I just don't see the point. It's def. more conducive for me to get into wearing makeup in the fall and winter, not only because I won't sweat if off, but also because I'm paler then and it makes me look better. |
Same. When I'm working with a woman not wearing makeup I'm shocked. Their flaws standout. Bet you they think they look better without makeup. Not wearing makeup is like not wearing a bra. No matter how great your breasts are you can always use the extra help. |
You may want to work through your princess issues. Other women besides doctors and IT professionals can get away without wearing make up. Are you over 60? Do you were hose and pumps everyday grandma?

You see the flaws on their skin? But I see the flaws in your personality. Which is worse do you think? |
