Wow. This is what $1m gets you in AU Park

I don't. I have a house. What are you talking about? Lyon Village is a SFH neighborhood in Clarendon. Adjacent to Clarendon Metro.

I thought Lyon Village cost more than AU Park? I don't know it personally, just from what I read on DCUM.

Alexandria PP, in which school district do you live?

They used to be neck-in-neck. The last few years LV got crazy, crazy expensive. So- you are probably right. Though I think there are a few other Clarendon SFH neighborhoods that are comparable to AU park price-wise.

Love, love, love being able to WALK to multiple metros, parks, restaurants, CVS, Whole Foods, library, shopping, etc. Location!

Indeed - we can do the same in Alexandria, with a lot more charm, better commute, and probably better restaurants.

Those of us who live in Chevy Chase and in Bethesda could do the same with much better schools.

Janney is easily as good as the Chevy Chase and Bethesda elementary schools. Plus you have a crazy-tight school community. Everyone knows everyone because everyone basically lives within a square mile. No bus service. It's a Normal Rockwell existence which is why prices have been drive as high as they now are.

Parents who send their kids to Janney are stingy folks who save money at their kids expense. And then spend much time tapping one another on the back and assuring one another how great the school is, just to feel better.

Why don't you just call CPS on the whole lot of us for the incalculable harm we are perpetrating against our children.

There's behavior that's criminal, and there's behavior that's just antisocial.

It's hard to be antisocial in AU Park

Stricly speaking this is North Cleveland Park, not AU Park, in'it?

The key part is Janney.

Is it Janney with the proposed boundary changes?

Totally. Sending your privileged child to public school is just about the worst in selfish acts! Some folks have no shame.

By the way, this house looks a little overpriced because it hasn't been renovated, but probably should go for something like 825k. It has a good amount of room, and just needs updating.
