We have a beautiful home which I love but I regret that we bought a big house. It's too much space and expensive to maintain. Should have bought a nice starter home and upgraded later if we felt the need.

Funny, I'm the opposite! Bought what we THOUGHT was our starter home, but purchased it in 2005. Now we are completely underwater and will never be able to move. Sucks.

I should have taken the whole year off when I got sick a as a college freshman rather than just a semester. It totally got me off track in many ways and I couldn't go ahead with pre-med due to course offerings without paying for an extra full year of undergrad. So I went back and gave up on being a doctor, which is what I'd wanted to do since 3rd grade. And because I didn't know what to do with myself with that purpose, I went to law school just to have something to do, which is really a bad reason to go to law school.

I have regrets I guess, but I can see with each one that if I had made a different choice, something else awesome in my life wouldn't have happened. So it's hard to regret...you can't just pick and choose different paths, once you go down one path it shifts everything else.

Stopping piano when I got too busy and too lazy to practice. I was damn good at it, and loved it.

+1 I think that's a really good way of looking at.

The man I married, and divorced. I will always love him, he was a horrible husband and father. Wish I'd never met him.

Speeding on Rte 295 just south of exit 1. Now have a $200 speeding ticket. Don't want to pay it either.

Marrying my ex husband

F-ing up when I was at college and not taking it more seriously.

I can't possibly pick just one, but I married someone who looked good on paper. Wish I'd had the guts to hold out for a man who makes my stomach do flip flops even if he didn't have a high paying job. Other regret is not studying harder in college.

I did that in college and got nothing but trauma and heartache from the trial (with the bonus of having the dean of students tell my parents i was a slut).
