Here's the info TJ sent home just last week:
Helpful Tip #13 - Prearranged Absences
Students should complete a prearranged absence form when they know they will be absent. Students get teachers' signatures on the form as part of a discussion of assignments, tests or quizzes that will be missed. The student is expected to complete 50% of work missed prior to leaving, and the make-up plan must be agreed upon with the teacher. Prearranged absences should be requested two weeks before the absence, with the form turned in to the attendance office at least two days prior to the absence. A parent note must be attached to the form for it to be complete.
This is the same way it worked at other schools my children have attended. The information above is current, sent home 12 January 2014.
