Why Do White People Have Such Amazing Eyes?

I just think blue is a personally more attractive color than brown. I think it reflects more light and can look more variable, etc.

Way to gloat!

Well, I know there are some people out there who prefer brown eyes, or green, or whatever, so it's not gloating! My eye color only appeals to other fellow people who happen to also like blue eyes!

Golly. Defensive much. Just be happy with whatever God gave you. He made us all different. That is what I tell my 5yo. I may like my eyes, but there are certainly other parts which look like garbage, increasingly so, the older I get!

Growing up, I felt there were only three families of eye colour- brown, green and blue.

When I was getting my greencard, among the eye colour choices was hazel, grey and 'maroon' on the US immigration paperwork... I still don't officially know what that means... albino? Red-brown? But I've since met some Africans with actual red brown eyes that I'd call maroon.

My point: I grew up in a sea of blue eyes, with a smattering of green and a very few brown (usally in minorities, not whites). I now think brown has the most variance/interest. JMO.

Light-colored eyes are more prone to eye disorders, such as macular degeneration and colorblindness.

I agree and have blue eyes. But I went for a dark Mediterranean type and my dd has brown eyes. Love her to bits!

Same for me. Everyone in my family has either grey/blue/green eyes. I was excited about the possibility of adding brown to the mix when I had children with my African American husband... we ended up getting a total of 1 (!) brown eye. DS has green eyes, DD1 has one blue, one brown eye, and DD2 has blue eyes. So much for that.

Actually most Caucasians have brown eyes too.

Why do AA people have such beautiful, deep, brown eyes?

My son has super light blue eyes. A genetic throwback for sure. People comment on them all the time. What they don't see is how sensitive to light he is and how shy he feels because his eyes are different than the test of us.

That's my thing. I am dark haired but have light blue-gray eyes. I get compliments daily . At least aging can't fuck with that!!

DH has green eyes and my kids have the most amazing large vibrant blue eyes (big like his--mine are tiny ) with thick , long eyelashes.
