| It is rude NO MATTER who does it! Know and recognize other peoples personal space. |
| This, IS a Jewish thing mor than a "woman thing" in my experience, that said two of my closest friends are Jews but they do it and admit it. No big deal but interesting observation. |
|
Jew here and I don't do it. I think it's a wealth/confidence thing and not a "Jewish" thing. We don't teach our daughters to be judgmental.
|
| This looking at people head to toe upon meeting is called the NY Once-over. It is not a Jewish thing - it is a tri-state area thing. As is talking with one's hands a tri-state area thing and not an Italian thing. Signed, a NJ Jew |
| I have never experienced this, and am still not sure I even get what people are talking about. I'm a Jew from the South! |
Maybe it's an Israeli thing? |
I agree! |
| This is a Christian woman thing. All the Christian girls in my junior high school i Rockville did this to me, a Jewish girl. This is a CHRISTIAN thing, NOT a Jewish thing. |
Funny. Aren't you trying to prove you are not judgmental ... by being judgmental? |
Maybe you should. How will they pick a good husband if you don't? |
| Funny that I found this post but boy is this ever true. What's with that? I noticed first in college then as an upward and mobile young mother/wife with a successful husband, noticing it even more. It is not an attractive quality. |
Yes, it can't possibly be that OP is ignorant. It must be the result of Christians persecuting Jews. |
| Indian-americans (higher class ones) do this as well IMO. I love dating jewish girls but I always feel so much pressure in dating them - you have to be on your 'a-game' at all times it felt. |
| This thread is so freaking weird. |
