Non dc residents

12:00 are you freaking serious? Investigations will not get the big bonanza results as one would hope. That is why it will never become a "hot topic" on the View of things for DCPS. Again, your high-school athletes are the biggest violators but perish the thought for someone to disclose that little secret. What you might consider cheating could be interpreted as an misunderstanding from the non-college degree guardian. Again, the extended family among AAs is more prevalent than it would be in white families.

Enough of this BS. Cheating is at an all time high. Waitlists are busting at the seems. Parents are (rightfully) freaking out, scrambling to get into a halfway decent school. There's more language immersion options in the District and more opportunities for charters. This is very attractive to cheaters at the elem. level. The ONLY people who apply the old-hat arguments which try to minimize the issue are out of touch with the realities of 2013 in the system, are a cheater themselves, or are plain stupid. PP- which one are you!! There's a fourth- you could be a Troll.

Like someone said on another blog, this doesn't benefit the AA households.

AA households are getting robbed. Whites are getting robbed. Browns, reds and yellows are getting robbed. Do not use a DC address to get a slot in a DC school if you are not a tax-paying physical resident. Really simple here. If it's a question of race. As a DC resident, I want to take care of black children who are suffering IN THE DISTRICT before anyone else. Thieves should be ashamed stealing from them!

What kind of stupidity is this? As a family member in a 100% AA household, I think cheaters should be found, caught, and pay up or kicked out. And I know plenty of other AA families who feel the same. Who even makes statements like this?

Insane person or troll, never mind, I answered my own question.

Sweetie, a system that's overwhelmingly majority AA in a school population that's dwindling, can't and don't have it both ways. I can see where this non DC residency issue is not a priority of AA families. As we are not leaving or can't leave after 3rd grade and those who remained are being brainwashed that small schools can't survive. So, if as an AA parent/guardian of children who are at a school that's all of sudden popular, then the more the merrier is the hip-hop song of the day. We are not worried about where did they come from, we are more inclined to say keep coming, boo!!!

Who's cheating? We are talking about DCPS and people coming to this area for free public education. As for payng up, if you can get on a payment plan for delinquent taxes then you know this will be offered to our offenders if caught.
