I was actually surprised by how many from my DC's school registered at GC versus at other excellent schools where they were accepted. In the end, not one turned down GC. Did not expect this. I know of at least 3 on the waitlist.

The gorgeous campus is attractive to a lot of kids. Also, if they have a lot of friends at GC that a bonus. When you add in the transportation convenience and the lower cost, GC does look good. We did not apply but I have to admit it did cross my mind since it's close to my home. Instead, I'm driving to DC every day!! LOL

We made the opposite choice but I am still a bit apprehensive about it.

NCS and SR but in the end the commute just seemed prohibitive. We let DD make the choice

Thanks, it's good to know the choices that people make amongst the options that they have.

Headed to Prep. It was a tough decision; he/we loved St. Anselm's too. After weighing the size of the schools, locations, academics, athletics, and where DS envisioned himself fitting in best, Prep was the choice.

Anyone declining Prep? If yes, why?

Received our acceptance letter from St. Mary's in Old Town for our soon-to-be kindergartner. We're very very happy!
